The 10-year-old Boa was pregnant and had been raised by McAdam since it was a baby. Reptiles that are not treated ethically simply do not make good pets. Imagine, for a second, that Chris Coffee owned tortoises instead of snakes. Imagine that the FWC raided his reptile facility and ruthlessly killed 35 of his tortoises.
