I'm behind on my email and only just read this action alert from the Animal Legal Defense Fund. From the ALDF action alert page. Less than one year ago, Puerto Rico enacted a landmark animal protection law, based in part on a set of model laws drafted by the Animal Legal Defense Fund.

That's why this action alert from the Animal Legal Defense Fund strikes a cord with me. From the ALDF blog. Sargeant, doing business as Sargeant’s Wholesale Biologicals, buys carcasses from animal shelters and sells them to research facilities such as UC Davis’ School of Veterinary Medicine.

From the better late then never category, the ALDF is having a National Justice for Animals Week to raise awareness about animal abuse. Adam was rescued by an 11-year-old boy who also later identified the girls who committed the crime, allowing them to be charged with felony animal cruelty.
