Alas, those sightings will be for another time as the weather had thrown a spanner in the works: half a meter of snow had closed off our intended destination. We returned home for a good dinner with friends, some wine and a night dreaming of raspberry coulis, puppies and ducks. Our goal was the usually very busy Staunton State Park.

He isn't aware of the limitations of his build and thinks, for instance, that he has the agility of the golden lab puppy he plays with (or the adult goldens he plays with). One situation was that Charles, who will turn six on June 3, has been lame for nearly six months. It appears that Charles never got the memo about his physiology.
