I decided to rescue a dog in desperate need, and planned on finding a home for it after my road trip was over. Well, the first dog I went to see was scheduled to be euthanized that week. I didn’t have the adoption fee money until payday, but by then it would have been too late. So she was mine, for free. We’re never apart.
