It had been locked in the shed and abandoned. In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need. But Jasmine had other ideas.

I'd say no argument here if this were some kind of sanctuary situation, and the animals were in need of a loving home for the rest of their lives. A violation of trust or confidence, an abandonment of something committed to one's charge. Tags: Ethics Food and Drink Language. It's just not right. Here, that enemy being Death.)
