As a foster parent, you can set certain guidelines with the rescue group as to what type of animal you prefer. That at least would be a start till our society puts a higher value on the lives and existence of our furry friends, till the law stands up for our 4-legged buddies, till shelters are no longer overflowing with the unwanted.
