The road was new, the only sign of the recent times were bullet holes in a few abandoned houses, but that was a rare sight. Hence, I had to adopt a new one. While heading to the Croatian sea coast I did pass through the city’s railway station a few times in the 1980s, the last time I spent some time in Sarajevo when I was still a kid.
