Second of all, Lewis’s Woodpeckers are birds of the west and they rarely stray to New York State. Hes only been birding since 2005 but has garnered a respectable life list by birding whenever he wasnt working as a union representative or spending time with his family. Melanerpes lewis is, to put it simply, a really cool bird.
