It’s easy to observe this attachment behavior in parrots, especially pets. While we’re used to declarations that our pet parrots “love” us just as we love them, and they can be quite demonstrative in showing their affection, the evidence is thinner for wild birds. My three orphans had left for Central America in September 2003.
