I worked as a guide and on macaw projects in Tambopata in 2001 and 2002 and the diversity is simply astounding. The number of bird species that have been recorded from Puerto Maldondo to the Tambopata Research Center is around 620 species (all lowland elevations). Thanks for visiting!
