The first, the embarrassing heretofore unseen SAVANNAH SPARROW was a consolation prize for my FOY Grasshopper Sparrow. May 7, 2015 – I started the day in Raleigh, 100 miles from home, not expected to get any birding done. I finished my business in Raleigh, and headed home to grab my bins and camera, then headed out again.
