I went back to New York to the areas where I grew up and went to college and graduate school for a five-day weekend. We need language that doesn't support a divide between "pet" animals and everyone else. Tags: Books Ethics Language parenting publishing speciesism veganism. The Nor'easter cured me of that longing.
