Though all birds will be somehow impacted by climate change, I think it is important to note that not all will suffer. That said, there are many species we should be extremely concerned about. The Pika’s story is shared with a number of montane bird species. They may disappear from some mountain ranges all together.

The animal protection group Seal Sitters says a necropsy showed that the sea lion had suffered a shark bite and had twisted intestines in addition to a bullet wound. KING says one of the Nisqually casualties was a Steller sea lion, protected under the Endangered Species Act. Investigators say they do not know who is responsible.
