On Friday, April 3rd, Montana Governor Brain Schweitzer returned House Bill 418 to the legislature with suggestions for amendments. The danger is that the amendments will be made and the bill will be signed into law. The letter was written to the Montana legislature. PLEASE TAKE ACTION.

Montana has passed a law making it difficult to challenge the building of a horse slaughtering facility in that state. Judicial review of equine slaughter or processing facilities -- surety bond -- attorney fees -- venue. (1) Tags: horse slaughter. The last such facility in the US closed in 2007.
