More than 50,000 Sandhill Cranes stop to feed while migrating during the fall and winter between Wisconsin and Florida. To me, this is like giving a child a baby rabbit as a birthday present, and then when Harvey proves to be a bit too much to care for, bumping him off in front of her. The state’s response? It’s bad PR.
