Or paid for food for a year at a rescue kennel. Or printed thousands of copies of vegan leaflets. What about the individuals right there in the laboratory? Of course, I have an emotional attachment to that one individual, Violet Rays. But that's utilitarian thinking. Don't those individuals matter?
