Bird rehabbers receive calls for injured turtles; veterinarians are contacted about skunks in basements. The old method of trapping and relocating “nuisance” animals, now known to be inhumane, has been replaced by the eviction and exclusion method. Animal Help Now, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, was founded in Colorado in 2011.
