The Horned Guan in Chiapas

The Horned Guan is not just one of, if not THE standout birds of Mexico and Guatemala, but of the entire world. Today it is placed in its own monotypic genus, Oreophasis , and loosely grouped with the present day curassows and chachalacas. It took two days to gather the group, buy supplies, get to and hike up to El Triunfo.
