We are a far bigger problem on this planet than the (over)population of feral cats, elephants, Canada geese, or any other creature we "manage" or want to manage, "humanely" or otherwise. From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. Both of those events required the dreaded "cone. I have some left but wanted to save it in the event that the transition didn't work and I needed to buy some time.

But I hope you will agree that by not eating or wearing animals or products that use or were tested on sentient nonhumans that you know of, and by not participating in or promoting events that use animals as entertainment, you are doing a world of good for the planet and the creatures who live here. Maybe it is.
