Black-faced Pitta is found only on one of the Solomon Islands (northwest of Australia). On the other hand, Phoebe Snetsinger’s memoir, Birding on Borrowed Time , becomes tedious because of her lack of emotional disclosure. This is the birding adventure book supreme. The Jewel Hunter can be frustrating in this respect.
