There are self-interested, health-based reasons to go vegetarian: The major killers of Americans--heart disease, cancer, and stroke--are all strongly positively correlated with meat consumption. I shall endeavor to protect and take care of all living creatures. Given all the compelling reasons to go vegan, why don't more people do it?
