An African Penguin peers protectively around its fluffy chick. The early threats of guano harvesting and egg collecting have been replaced by the more ominous threats of oil pollution and overfishing of their favorite food source – pilchards. Sharks, Cape Fur Seals and even Killer Whales will prey on them in the ocean.

Similar to the situation among humans, among Grey-capped Greenfinches , “high-quality individuals prefer to mate with each other” ( source ). For some butterflies, this bird is not boring but rather the equivalent of a Great White Shark. Eurasian Bitterns similarly try to stay out of sight.
