A couple of different work-related friends of both my mother in law and father in law have cabins up north, and most of them are in the same general vicinity. Now, Baxter is heavily developed, with big box stores and all, and Brainard is a welfare town. But there is the Alexandria-Detroit Lakes axis, I suppose.
