Regarding Adam's comment yesterday about low-cost spay/neuter, the reason this particular one is low-cost is that it is subsidized by the county and city (and maybe State, I'm not sure). Of course, when kitties are suffering they usually hide so that's profoundly unrealistic. And last night, a veterinary surgeon-friend of mine asked for help regarding ferals, and I believe today we are signing up a colony about five miles from me with 50 (!) There is a Spay-Around-the-Clock coming up, and I'm signing up to volunteer.

I'd rather trap a feral cat and have her spayed. Or educate my neighbors about the alternatives to poker at the dog track (and of course, about dog racing). Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics Language. Maybe sugar processed with bone char isn't worth boycotting a restaurant over. Maybe it is.
