Since I was mapping-in human ‘territories’ or home ranges, and trying to figure out how tropical hunter-gatherers found their way around the landscape, the mechanisms of migration were interesting to me. (It It turns out that humans without compasses make no use of magnetic fields.) And then re-emerged later in some cases.
