Dogs have died from hypoglycemia due to Vetsulin and there is a class action lawsuit. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin. The vets say that Charles' condition doesn't warrant another surgery, and that sometimes it takes a couple of years (!) But alas, the supply has dwindled. What a relief!
