Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it sometimes takes a “village” of rehabbers to save threatened wildlife. What turned out to be an epic journey began in Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s Atlantic provinces. As a result of human interference, four Chimney Swift nestlings had to be rescued.

The “Rufa” Red Knot is now protected under the Endangered Species Act

Fish and Wildlife Service has listed the “Rufa” population of Red Knot ( Calidris canutus rufa ) as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). migration corridors from Argentina in the Southern tip of South America to Canada. Arctic Canada face ongoing and proposed development.
