On "EATING ANIMALS" by Jonathan Safran Foer

He always refers to himself and his wife and his child as "vegetarian." But why does he say "vegetarian?" That bothers me, as there's a significant difference in motivation for vegans and vegetarians and he sounds like one, yet calls himself the other. The plate might have to be five feet across" (50).
