I traveled to the other side of the world just to see a chicken! Of course, no ordinary chicken would do, but the Red Junglefowl is the primordial progenitor of poultry, the wild source of cutlets, nuggets, and Buffalo wings. Black-backed Woodpecker by Larry Jordan Alan Tilmouth chose a bird that I would love to see myself.
