hours on I-95 (we here in South Florida are known for our very limited public transportation options--boy do I miss NYC). While spending hours in the car I've been thinking about various issues related to sentient nonhumans, animal rights and veganism. It's comical. It's absurd. Two links in particular struck me recently.

During the last two years alone, Nadeem and Mohammed – and one volunteer, who retrieves birds from all over Delhi and its satellite cities by using public transportation – have taken in about 2600 cases, almost all paid for out of the brothers’ own pockets.
