The first guide bearing the National Audubon Society imprint was Audubon Bird Guide; Eastern Land Birds , written by Richard Hooper Pough, and illustrated by Don Eckelberry. Bald Eagle, for example, is still said to be “formerly more widespread” though the range map shows expansion. There is nothing wrong with this.
