I might have to add the Dallas airport staff to the list of things Buffon was right about. We returned home for a good dinner with friends, some wine and a night dreaming of raspberry coulis, puppies and ducks. All bird and animal pictures are Brad’s. I flew into Denver from Mexico. I ticked off 9 lifers.

Having run beside many other dogs and handlers before I met the puppy who would become my partner, I knew this kind of collaboration existed, this necessary dialogue. It doesn’t take much for them to learn that we need them to find human scent –and not other animals, dropped hamburgers, or unspecified gook.
