Many of these changes (loss of legs, different type of locomotion, highly modified skull, loss of eyelids, ambush predator hunting strategy) have caused snakes to appear less "anthropomorphic" than lizards or turtles for example. If the FWC killed 35 tortoises on video, it would be on mainstream news.
