With traits allegedly unique to humans running out, philosophers and scientists claimed that only humans have minds complex enough to allow a sense of self-consciousness or self-identity, but, alas, chimpanzees and other animals demonstrated significant degrees of self-consciousness too. mikey, my stance can be seen in the posts about Project Treadstone (and if you type Project Treadstone into the Google Search box just below my half-blind, diabetic greyhound, Violet Rays, on the right, you'll get a dozen more posts). However, I don't think (and as you allude to) the situation is black and white. Hence, it's a Gray Matter.)

But alas, the supply has dwindled. So he is being re-veganized (Violet's already vegan), as long as his back and leg aren't adversely affected. Also, I check her blood glucose level at least once a day, so I always have a good idea of what's going on with her.
