Nicole at Alec's Story writes: One of my pet peeves, so to speak, is the concept of “unconditional love” as attributed to dogs by humans. We didn't adopt her so we could spoon with her at night or cuddle on the couch with her or have her be our trusted companion. They want love, companionship, snuggling. unconditional love.
