I don't need to "remind myself" of how bad it is to bolster my commitment to veganism. In other words, I don't immerse myself in animal cruelty. So I do what I can do, beginning of course with being vegan. I rescue, I adopt, I do TNR, and I connect others to resources to do the same. I know it's out there.

One ought to adopt the best means. It is certainly likely that a similar phenomenon would occur if vegan vegetarianism became a widespread movement in the U.S. One suspects that the SPCA and the American Humane Society have done more to stop cruelty to animals than vegetarians ever could.
