Old Crow’s parent company was sold to Jim Beam in 1987 and the new owners abandoned the Old Crow distillery and whichever version of the “original” recipe was being followed at the time. “I’m fly like an eagle and I drink Old Crow.” Certainly, the whiskey isn’t what it once was.

Maybe it was a version of the Mississippi River, maybe it was a version of the Warren River, likely both. A good way up one of the tallest pines is an Eagle’s nest. Every year there manage to be two eagles up there in that nest. Ducks are easier prey for the Eagle. Earlier this year a neighbor saw an Eagle take a Loon.
