Suppose someone enjoys drinking the blood of cattle and hogs. Would the blood drinker be sinning against the principles of lactovo moral vegetarianism or just the principles of vegan moral vegetarianism? KBJ: The most that this shows is that people should be vegans rather than lactovo vegetarians.

Vegan vegetarians who eat only vegetables, fruit, and nuts do not completely remove all microorganisms from their food, even with repeated cleaning. If beef cattle who could not feel pain were developed, then it would be permissible to eat them. What should our moral attitude be toward eating members of these species?
