The male shown in the video above, filmed at Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, was in the process of gathering nesting material for what usually adds up to a dozen to two dozen nests! Back in the 2010 breeding season, I was able to observe a male building a nest at this exact same time of year.

Peregrine Falcon at Delevan National Wildlife Refuge. With the help of a captive breeding program, the Peregrine bounced back, and in 1999, they were removed from the Endangered Species List. Peregrine Falcon from Sacramento NWR auto loop. They were officially listed as Endangered in 1970 in the U.S. Don’t miss it!
