In the end, I truly did set out to reduce the number of birds that I feature here from 1302, my years total species, down to 10-12. In Caines, Australia, we enjoyed a wet morning on the Daintree River, with Murray Hunt, of the Dain Tree River Tours. For me, one of the birds at the top of this last would be the Speckled Tanager.
