Better Buddies has several social impact programs in the works and currently donates a 10% of profit to the Best Friends Animal Society, who works on creating a world with “No more homeless pets.” We love a company with heart, especially a company on a mission to help homeless pets!

I'm doing my best in an imperfect world to respect the rights of other sentients, and I have heard vegans say that sanctuaries--and not pet ownership--will be the only way out of subjugation for cats and dogs. The real question for today, though, is whether you think it's not vegan to keep nonhuman animals. Do you agree with that?

From Barnes and Noble : "Wirral the Squirrel is homeless. And when you read the reviews on various sites that sell the book, there is no mention of how we enslave animals. I'm giving the book a vegan/animal rights message because that's my lens. I don't get a sense that readers really understand the message.
