All very exciting, but for the birder Africa has so much more to offer. I am a wildlife artist based in the UK, I have never had a real job! Other than paint, the only other thing I do is organize and joint-lead wildlife tours, mostly in Africa and India. My name is Ashley Boon.

They are being moved to a wildlife sanctuary. From Wildlife Extra News. Jason Bell-Leask, IFAW Director Southern Africa} said "For years the herd has been maimed by local villagers, sometimes using appallingly cruel methods to protect their crops and granaries from raids by the elephants.

Assuming you have a passing interest in wildlife, or at the least you know someone that does, and chances are in the last week or so you’ve become aware that some lady from America shot a lion. Hunters go to Africa to shoot lions, and this is without question a good thing; for birds, for ecosystems, and for lions in general!
