10,000 Birds

There are beautiful beaches, a plethora of amazing food and drinks, a multitude of family fun locations, a world-renowned zoo, and one of the biggest birding festivals in the US. Best Bird of the Weekend (Third of July 2021)

10,000 Birds

I found myself fully immersed in marine species while boating, fishing, and birding coastal Virginia with family this weekend. Out on the shore, though, a whole suite of species exists in the places we gravitate to anyway. The best of a bunch of birds I see all too rarely was, quite fittingly, Virginia Rail showing well in a saltmarsh.
