Humane rat control?

I cant purchase a cat because we are not allowed animals in our rental. I live in Australia. I dont want to kill them. Can I transport them away? We live near some bushland. Did humans kill off one of the last dinosaurs, er, giant birds?

This is one of several giant birds that went extinct fairly recently, and in many cases, humans as suspected. Genyornis newtoni lived in Australia, and recent research suggests that humans may have played a role in the extinction of this dinosaur laughingly called a bird, about 40,000 years ago. ka, and likely before 47?ka.

The monkeys made sense; many species of apes and monkeys are adaptable to many climates and are similar to humans in terms of anatomy. The giraffes did not. Any and all speculation would be appreciated.

It was always thought that humans first inhabited the island of Madagascar about four or five thousand years ago or so. It was after that date that many of the great and strange animals of that island went extinct, presumably because of human hunting. If they are the only evidence of humans, then not fine.
