5 or 6 times over the last year I have found decapitated or otherwise "dissassembled" mice or small rats near or under my car. The first time I noticed it, it was actually a rat leg wedged through a bolt hole on my chassis that I noticed hanging under the car. Probably a rat. I moved into this house about a year ago.

I see people taming minks and using them as work animals for hunting rats and mice. My neighbours empty shed was taken over my a pine marten. It'll be having babies soon. Can I keep one and domesticate or tame it enough to be a good pet? Can I do this with a pine marten? Why or why not?

Then there's this sound of a small animal escaping. I definitely know that was a rat, my house is infested by it. Last night I had a deep cut in my left toe, but I wasn't really awake to know what was happening. This time, I noticed the sudden pain in my pinkie, I immediately jerked my hand away.

Ok so this rat wasn't supposed to be a pet, it was originally snake food however my snake didn't want to eat it after a week and my family and I didn't want to release it in the wild as it'd already been through enough. labored breathing, twitching, crying when moved etc.

I recently fostered the sweetest little rat and I currently have two mice. And, of course, our old friend, Charles River Laboratories, will be a major supplier of lab rats. While both rats and mice have similarities to humans, rats win out in key areas. Therefore, this Boston Globe article saddens me on both levels.

The ginuea pig cages are small with very little toys same with the rat cages. They also sometimes house rats and Guinea pigs alone wich will cause depression.

I’ve never been abusive to anyone or any animal before that or after that, can’t believe I ever treated her like that. It’s hard to not feel guilty- I’m grateful for how we ended but I wish I could’ve been there for her sooner and not reacted the way I did. I think part of me knew she was sick and couldn’t handle it and took it out on her.

It would be ideal if I were able to work with rats or some other similarly intelligent animal, but when I brought it up to my dad he shut it down. The treatment of the animals at the Woodbridge, NJ SeaQuest is horrific. I am posting this here because they had an exhibit of skinny pigs billed as “African naked mole rats.” This was the same for many other of the animals there: potbelly pigs, a sad otter, rabbits, chickens and Bengal cats. The skinny pigs had no enclosures.
