I am scoping Great Cormorants roosting in their colony in the (now dry) flooded forest, there is one… eagle to the right of them. I am right, Kostas confirms, it is a Greater Spotted Eagle. One done, three more to go. Sure, why not.

This shaggy, slaty, storklike creature possesses a proboscis preposterous enough to put it in league with pelicans, toucans, and curlews. The whales, the dolphins, and the seabirds all combined to put on an amazing show, with one Humpback Whale even coming to the surface right next to the boat and then diving beneath us. It was truly an amazing experience only lessened by the fact that Desi slept through the whole thing. It was amazing.
