How to find the Ural Owl in Serbia

For two good reasons always remember to keep your distance from the nest: to avoid the disturbance of birds and abandonment of the nest, but also because this is an aggressive owl known to strike human intruders in the face.

The bird on the photo is one of the estimated 3500-15,000 individuals still alive according to the HBW – a frightening thought given the (too) large number of humans, of which there are about 1 million times more (and of course, each of which weighs 5000 times more than the flycatcher).

The male Grey Peacock-Pheasant looks quite attractive, though most human males would rightfully shudder to wear a shirt covered in purplish dots. A worrying trend. “It is not deep enough yet!
