The end of this rather long road trip finds us here in Puyallup, Washington which is just south of Seattle. This refuge came up as #4 on a recent list of the top 25 National Wildlife Refuges that were featured in a great story here by 10000 Birds own Jason Crotty.

From the Seattle PI. Fish and Wildlife Service granted a permit March 9 to the Northern Arapaho Tribe allowing it either to kill or capture and release two bald eagles this year. The Northern Arapaho share the Wind River Indian Reservation in central Wyoming with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe.

Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. We’ve subsequently rescued feral rabbit populations from Rocky Reach Dam in Wenatchee, Seattle’s Woodland Park, and the Aqua Barn of Kent, insuring each rabbit a safe haven to live out the rest of their life at Rabbit meadows without threat of harm.

Kevin Ebi is a professional nature photographer whose work has appeared in a variety of magazines and books, including National Wildlife , Smithsonian , Outdoor Photographer , and Lonely Planet and Moon travel guides. His other books told the story of the cycle of water and chronicled life of waterfowl in the Seattle Arboretum.
