These “grouse” could be too sneaky for such heavy-handed, accidental strategies. Watch and listen for the birds as they rustle through the leaf litter. Like my Uncle Fred’s grouse, they forage on the ground, creep among the vegetation, and have cryptic patterns and colors that help them escape detection and survive.
