Corey got his Best Bird of the Weekend early this weekend as while he and his family were making their way home from a week-long vacation in Cape Cod on Friday a Black-throated Gray Warbler was found in Queens at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. In the next year I visited the British Birdfair for the first time, which turned out to be the experience that changed my life. Since then, the majority of my guests became birders and wildlife photographers.

Despite depicting 540 species/56 families, it is a lightweight book of 173 pages, easy to pack and carry. Most mammal guides aimed at wildlife watchers (and not scientists) tend to cover small and cryptic species as a group only, not going to a species level. It also covers Andaman, Nicobar and Laccadive islands. Highly recommended.
